Thank you for doing the live CD of Elton's concert. I pre-ordered this CD a few days before the concert & I received it on 6-22-09. I was very excited to get this and very happy after I listened to it. It is just wonderful! Elton sounds just as good as he always does.

A Great Concert

I wasn't able to go to the Concert, but full marks to Concert Live for making me think I was there. A fantastic mix and full credit to the team for such a great CD produced in the timeframe of the concert. This will be first of many purchases from Concert Live !!. Well done Elton and the boys, Skyline Pidgeon was a great surprise in the set list !!, Paul Smith, Salisbury. PS - Fingers crossed that Concert Live will be doing the Elton & Ray concert at The Royal Albert Hall, which I am going too !!

Absolutely fantastic performance by a true legend. Even though it was the coldest, wettest night I can remember Elton shone through with nearly 2 1/2 hours of his hits and had the stadium rocking long before the end. Hope he returns sometime, love to see him again

I'm only 16 years old, but I'm a huge Elton fan. The music on this cd is great; great job with the sound! But one thing is missing, the crowd!! Where are the cheers? Next time put some crowd noise in the mix concert live, Please!!! Great buy though, and may Elton rock on forever!

Unlike the previous reviewer I did manage to obtain drumsticks. Plenty of evidence of rimshots on them though - think nigel must have been practicing! Great concert. Well recommended.

Great gig great cd apart from 2 things

1. Completely unmiked audience means there is no sign of us being there; cd lacks atmosphere. Previous Concertlive cd's I've bought are different. Was this EJ's choice? 2. Even on his 2000th show with Elton it's good to know a pro like Davey can still play a bum note or six now and again - check out Funeral for a Friend at 4 mins 36 secs. Hehe.

It rained a couple of hours before the show. The rain cleared and the crowds came out to watch one of the best live bands in the world.We were lucky enough to witness an absolutely superb performance by Elton and his band.Don't hesitate on these Bristol c.d's. I've been an Elton fan for years and this is as good as it gets - absolutely A.1.Thank you Concert Live - these c.d's bring back very special memories.

SUPERB SHOW

As always Elton and the Band put on a breathtaking show. We got in early and were lucky enough to get Nigel Olsson's autograph and have a quick chat before the show. Highlights were an acoustic version of Rocket Man and Tiny Dancer. Oh, and the sound quality on the cd was excellent too!

Great show, great songs

The recording is great, the songs include all the favourites. The photo's are not great though, many fan can do better than that. And why 6 photo's from the audience? Why 3 photo's from the supportact? Only 9 of the 30 are acceptable in my opinion. also, during the last songs there is a fan in the audience who keeps screaming for Elton on the top of her lungs... very irritating to hear it every few seconds when Elton is not singing... no offence though to 'concertlive' ofcourse. But overal: 4 stars.

Elton is the ultimate professional. And his band, most of whom have been with him for 'centuries' as he explained, are in a class of their own. You won't find a band anywhere that delivers the precision and tightness they do. And what about the sound quality of the live performance. As good as, if not better, than studio quality. His roadies certainly know how to set up a live gig. The live CD more than captured the incredible quality of that sound. It was like listening to the original tracks from the original recordings, only better, it was that good. Having the same band, more or less, for all those years allowed Elton to reproduce his original sound. He was on excellent form and the weather just put the finishing touches to the one of the best live concerts I have ever witnessed. The photos are irrelevant, just a nice bonus to have. Thank you to Concert Live for capturing such a memorable performance.

The CD is amazing and it brings back those fantastic memories from the 14.06.2009....ok the photographs aren't "star" quality but then again the day shouldn't be remembered for the photo's taken, it should be remembered for the fantastic music played by Elton and his Band. In any case this CD is well worth buying as the music quality is good and at the end of the day, you might as well give the photo's a flick, even if they aren't the best.

My fourth concert, but first close to home. I live on Bømlo; small island north of Haugesund. Went by myself w high expectations which were met! Enormous kick; like meeting a good old friend! From the moment Elton staged, precise as ever, I was singing along and shouting at the top of my voice. Atmosphere in and around me was electric and hairraising! Like loosing myself into music and songs I'd known for so long; what magic! Unforgettable moment when the rain set in on Eltons Norma Jean! When the concert was over, the rain had soaked my skin and my soul was soaked to the core by Eltons loveliness! Thank you Sir! Love from Eldbjørg
