I Pre-ordered this album as I knew from previous Concert Live recordings (Depeche Mode, Stockholm Stadium) that I would not be dissapointed. The sound quality is very good and the only small remark I have is that there is no track listing on the cover. Aside from this, I will for sure buy the next show I go to recorded by Concert Live!

Low quality of the sound

The recording is of a very low quality. I was very disappointed when I received the CD. The only reason I give it 2 stars, is because it's KISS - The hottest band i the world!

This got to be the best recorded show of the tour - I know, 'cause I've got 5 of them! And mind that I write "recorded", 'cause I'm sure most of the live shows were great. This being an indoor arena and Kiss performing great, it makes this record pure delight! Gene is awesome, and Paul gets there as the show progress. "Detroit Rock City" at the end is one of the best live recordings I've heard of this song ever, and this is "real" live - no mix or dubbing.

Was at the gig with my 15 year old son and we both enjoyed the show tremendously. The cd is a great remembarance for us, as well as the two pics we managed to get hold of. The sound quality on the cd is acceptable, and the album is now on my cellphone, and I'm listening to it from time to time.

"I was made for loving you", is a part of the KISSTORY, and a great song. But this wasn't so great, the words don't really come out all the time. From "Alive", I miss "Rock Bottom". But I can recomend this album for the songs from "Alive" that we love, and the energy of the concert.

How cool to relive a great record from the past! sound very good, music done very good! if i had one complaint, it's that Ace and Peter are absent. Tommy and Eric do a great job, but i grew up with Gene,Paul ,Ace, and Peter....all the live Kiss shows i ever witnessed were with the original members, (and there were many), for something like this revisiting a classic album, Ace and Peter belong here! aside from that, great record!

Average - not the best

The sound here is not the best one can get of the tour, but it's not bad eighter. But try out the Oslo show (Valhall Arene) first - that is just so great. I'm sure it was great being in Bergen, but they don't manage to capture that on this disc. The audience is silence and not present on the album, and I think that have to do this being an outdoor consert.

I don't know about other shows at this tour, but the Copenhagen concert was simply not up to usual Kiss-par. Messy, too many boring solos, bad sound -the encore-set was great - maybe they should rely more on the mid-70's "destroyer" glamsongs - as they seem to fit their style at the time better. I was very dissapointed!

Very good concert, but both the audience and the band are a bit down this night. Paul has some huge problems with his vocals in the beginning.

Really enjoyed the discs. Wanted to see them tour but work commitments stopped me. This was excellent to listen to!. Worth a listen for any KISS fan, good trial for a non fan.

Sie finden einfach kein Ende, obwohl sie schon seit vielen Jahren kein neues Songmaterial vorgestellt haben. Egal, die Fans wollen sie trotzdem sehen und hören: Kiss, vier grell geschminkte Herren im besten Alter, die in komischen Transen-Kostümen auf Plateausohlen über die Bühne staksen, mit Kunstblut spritzen, Feuer spucken und damit ohne Ende Kasse machen. Das Leben als Never-Ending-Tour. 1999 waren Kiss mit diesem albernen Zirkus zum letzten Mal in Deutschland auf Tournee. Zu ihrem 35-jährigen Dienstjubiläum sind sie in der Besetzung Gene Simmons (Bass, Gesang), Paul Stanley (Gesang, Gitarre), Neuzugang Tommy Thayer (Gitarre) und Rückkehrer Eric Singer (Schlagzeug) wieder da. Und sie kommen nicht allein. Kiss werden begleitet von 15 monströsen Sattelschleppern, tonnenschwerem Bühnenmaterial, massenhaft Böllern und Feuerwerk sowie 70 Frauen und Männern als ständige Tour-Helfer. Dieser Spaß kostet den Fan zwischen 55 und 75 Euro pro Ticket (bzw. bis zu 1.000 Euro, wenn man seine Helden hinter der Bühne zum „Meet & Greet“ treffen möchte). Bei einem Multi-Millionen-Dollar-Unternehmen wie Kiss wird eben nicht gekleckert, sondern mächtig geklotzt! Durch die englische Firma Concert Live werden von fast allen Kiss-Auftritten in Europa limitierte Soundboard-Mitschnitte angeboten, die der Fan zu relativ moderaten Preisen von 15 Pfund pro Doppel-Live-CD im Digipack mit dem in Deutschland verbotenen Original Artwork erstehen kann. Eine inzwischen gängige Praxis, mit der sich Mega-Acts wie zum Beispiel Pearl Jam, Genesis und Kiss ein hübsches Zubrot verdienen und den zahlungskräftigen Fans ein tolles Souvenir bieten können. Stellvertretend für die Konzerte in Deutschland liegt der Mitschnitt vom 9. Juni 2008 im Berliner Velodrom vor. Da die Setlist von Gig zu Gig kaum differiert, lässt sich auf diese Weise sicher ein guter Eindruck von der Form der Amerikaner machen. Interessant: Beim Europa-Tour-Auftaktkonzert in Oberhausen, genau vier Wochen vorher, wurden mit „Firehouse“, „Watchin‘ you“, „Rock bottom“ und „Calling Dr. Love“ noch vier Songs mehr gespielt. Geht den Herren etwa die Luft aus? Wir wollen es nicht hoffen. Denn der zahlende Besucher ist gnadenlos und richtet sich nach der selbst auferlegten Band-Maxime: „You wanted the Best, you got the Best: The hottest Band in the World: Kiss!�. Für viele ist es auch nach 35 Jahren absolut rätselhaft, was die Faszination dieser Band ausmacht. Die herausragenden Songs lassen sich locker an zwei Händen abzählen, was für eine so lange Karriere ungewöhnlich ist, die Bühnenshow gleicht einer Kreuzung aus Kindergeburtstag und Horror-Show und die Musiker sind unnahbar wie Politiker. Dem ungeachtet lassen sich die Fans mit den verrücktesten Merchandise Artikeln das Geld aus der Tasche ziehen und mit Konzerten befriedigen, die man auf maximal eine Stunde Spielzeit beschränken könnte, würden Kiss lediglich ihre großen Klassiker spielen. Doch der Hase läuft bekanntermaßen anders. So werden die Songs gerne auf sechs bis acht Minuten Spielzeit gedehnt, ohne das wirklich etwas essentielles passiert. Für „She� und „100.000 years� lassen sich Kiss sogar eine knappe halbe Stunde (!) Zeit. 70er-Jahre-Stadionrock bedeutet eben, auch ellenlange Soli und interaktives Geplänkel mit dem Publikum („Berlin, can you hear me?“) ertragen zu können. So dauert es dann halt 90 Minuten, bis die Post mit Songs wie „Lick it up“, „Shout it out loud“, „Love gun“, „Rock’n’Roll all nite“ und dem unvermeidlichen „I was made for lovin‘ you“ richtig abgeht. Die Qualität der Live-Mitschnitte ist absolut akzeptabel, bedenkt man, dass diese bereits wenige Tage nach den Konzerten in den Versand gehen. Es gibt nur leichtes Rauschen und es ist mitunter etwas leise. Aber der Käufer muss für sein Geld kein minderwertiges Bootleg-Niveau befürchten, darf aber auch keine nachbearbeiten Studio/Live-Alben erwarten. Der Authentizität tut es auf jeden Fall gut. Schade nur, dass man sich die Tracklisten aus dem Internet holen und irgendwie in die Digipacks integrieren muss. Das haben Pearl Jam schon vor Jahren besser gelöst, indem sie ihren offiziellen Live-Bootlegs Aufkleber mit den Songlisten beifügten.

This Live CD was a very good recording but the bass is too heavy and the vocals too loud (for my taste) For me as a german fan it`s bad not having the original KISS Letters :-( but..thats the fxxx law in germany. So..thats it..you all did an excellent job and many thanks to you people sending me the CD`s to germany..Bye Bye

This is an excellent live set! Kiss were brilliant and the crowd was in fine form. "Sold Out" because the MANNHEIM KISS ARMY is really caring about their band!! nuff said...

I cannot understand why this set is sold out??? Hamburg, Oberhausen and Berlin are much better....If you don't have this CD-Set, don't worry....it doesn't matter...if have Hamburg for example

This sounds like an audience recording. The vocals constantly fade in and out and the mix is incredibly muggy. This is nowhere near the quality of the recordings available onsite during the Rock The Nation tour from Instant Live. And the band sounds tired, especially Paul.

Kiss were so good that I am ruined for life when I go to see other bands in concert (and I saw Whitesnake and Def Leppard after Download). Freddie Mercury would have to come back to life and perform with Led Zep to top what I saw. (Slight exaggeration but you get the idea, it was good).

As a long time fan I enjoyed the concert. Especially the integral Alive I set was nice. To be able to listen to SHE played live was a long time wish. The rest of the concert was a filler for me, but listening to the reaction of the crowd this wasn't the case for most of the people. They loved it all. The only bummer is the don't drink alcohol and don't do drugs rap of Paul just before Cold Gin. He also did this is Utrecht some years ago. Paul, we are not all crazy American kids that can't handle the booze. This is Europe!

got this cd cause i thought the very last show of the tour would be awsome.....and upon listening to it i was most impressed ...even when there was a power failure halfway through the concert , kiss some how still shine and get through as legends do with the show . good cd to get if you want to hear how the pro's deal with an awkward situation and finish on a high !!!!!!! kiss rule !!!!!!!!!

Great show. A shame that the PA broke down while Eric's drum solo. The intro is not complete - that is 1 star off. Anyway - great band, great show great recording nothing more to say!!!
