Good sound quality and a great reminder

It was my first, and so far only time seeing The Raconteurs live and I wasn't disappointed - but to add to my excitement before the gig I saw that Concert Live were producing a live CD of the show - I said to my friend I was going to get one and he said "not to bother - they're usually rubbish". Well he was wrong and I was right to get one. Its got good sound quality not too much audience volume either which can sometimes be annoying. You can hear an early incarnation of "Five on the five" as well - although I didn't know it was called that until their second album came out. Jack White as you know always picks unusual songs to sing as cover versions - The band played Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang" Listen out for it - 9 minutes of Jack baring his tortured soul!

My First Concert Live CD

Found Concertlive Via the Raconteurs site a few years back, loved the concept, especially as they are yet to tour here in NZ. gave up the cash and shortly thereafter received the beautifully packaged cds in the post. there are a few Raconteur live b-sides out there and I knew they rocked live, to hear the whole show un-interupted was truly awesome, I was real surprised at the mix given the disc was made and mastered on the night. Cranked in the living room it was like being there. special mention has to go to the bang bang song (a la Kill Bill) love jacks ability to rock a classic. only downside (outside of the cost in NZD) is the sudden change from disc one to 2, but unavoidable I guess, Highly recommended **** b.
